Evolutionary Genetics

snapping_turtle_ws.jpgEvolutionary genetics is the study of inheritance at the level of individuals and populations with the aim of characterizing the processes that produce evolutionary change (mutation, recombination, drift, selection). Evolutionary genetics includes the study of traits affected by one or a few loci (population genetics), as well as traits that are affected by many loci (quantitative genetics).
